Delivery of the New Faymonville Megamax 1+3 Trailer

Fleet expansion / Internal transport

Challenge

Transporting and delivering a new, highly specialized Faymonville Megamax 1+3 trailer designed for extremely long and tall cargoes.

Solution

Utilizing a lowbed trailer configuration to safely transport the disassembled components of the new trailer to our depot.

Result

The successful transport expanded our fleet with a high-capacity trailer ready for the most demanding projects.

Forestry harvester transport

from Sweden to Slovenia

Challenge

Transporting a massive forestry machine across Europe primarily means dealing with height and width restrictions. Due to its large dimensions and deep-tread tires, the machine in its standard state would exceed allowable transport limits, requiring extremely expensive special permits, police escorts, and causing complications at overpasses and tunnels.

Solution

To optimize the route and costs, we applied a technically sound strategy: Wheel disassembly: The wheels were removed and secured separately with straps and wooden blocks on the same trailer, drastically reducing the overall height and width of the load. Low-loader trailer: Loading was performed on a low-loader trailer to minimize the center of gravity and height. Secure anchoring: The machine's boom was mechanically lowered and secured, and the components were fixed using a combination of chains and multiple tension straps. Logistics organization: The necessary machinery and tools were provided for both disassembly and reassembly of the machine at the destination.

Result

Lower costs: By entering a more favorable dimension category, expensive escorts and additional fees were avoided. Delay-free transit: The precisely planned height allowed unobstructed passage under all bridges and overpasses. Safe delivery: The machine and all parts arrived at the destination in Slovenia undamaged and ready for operation.

Transport of a 57-ton construction machine

from Croatia to Germany

Challenge

Transporting a massive 57-ton construction machine with a width of up to 3.70 meters is an extremely demanding task that standard logistics systems cannot handle. Key challenges included navigating strict regulations and axle weight limits, ensuring clearance through narrow industrial zones, and driving under the specific conditions of oversized transport on an international route.

Solution

Special permits (Convoi Exceptionnel): All necessary international transit permits and approvals for transporting oversized and heavy cargo through multiple countries were obtained. Detailed route planning: The route was analyzed and defined in advance to avoid critical points, weight-restricted bridges, and unsuitable turns. Maneuverability in narrow passages: Driving and positioning the trailer in a confined industrial space, along with coordination with mobile cranes on-site, were executed with maximum precision. Mobilization of an expert team: Constant coordination with partners and escorts on the ground was ensured to guarantee total safety and stability of the cargo at all times.

Result

Maximum safety: The 57-ton machine was safely delivered and unloaded at the destination without damage or unforeseen incidents. On-time delivery: Thanks to flawless logistics and permits, delays on the international route were avoided. Satisfied client: The project was executed with high professionalism, once again confirming ZGT's reliability for the most demanding heavy transport in Europe.

Transport of a 50-ton transformer tank

Zagreb – Nürnberg

Challenge

Transporting a transformer tank is extremely demanding as it combines a heavy mass (50 tons) and extreme width (4.00 meters) with the high value and sensitivity of the industrial cargo itself. The 4-meter width requires strictly defined transport corridors, special permits, and escorts through multiple European countries, while the sensitive nature of the equipment tolerates no vibrations or errors during loading and transit.

Solution

Specialized equipment: A technically adapted multi-axle heavy-duty trailer was used to evenly distribute the 50-ton mass and ensure maximum stability. Precise protection and securing: The sensitive transformer tank was additionally protected and secured using specialized heavy cargo lashing systems. Route planning and permits: All necessary international permits for the extreme width were obtained in advance, and technical and police escorts were coordinated along the entire route. Controlled loading and transport: Precise loading was carried out inside the production facility, followed by safe transport through international transit corridors.

Result

Damage-free delivery: The valuable and sensitive industrial cargo arrived at its destination in Nürnberg in flawless condition. On-time delivery: Thanks to detailed planning and obtained documentation, the transport was executed exactly according to the agreed schedule.
